tokyoI first fell in love with Japanese food when I visited Tokyo in 2010. I’ve always been a lover of foods from different parts of the world, but for some reason I hadn’t really tried Japanese food beforeĀ I stayed there.

To be honest, aside from sushi, I didn’t really know what food was traditional to Japan. When I stayed there, I was lucky enough to spend some time staying with a Japanese family, which meant I really got to sample some real food. Not only did I get to really immerse myself in the Japanese culture and traditions, I got to try a wide range of incredible food and learn how to make some of it.

When I returned I missed everything about Japan. I still yearn to return, and one day I certainly will. But until then, I will satisfy my craving by sharing what I learnt about their food, through this site.
